Auto Deposit

You can now securely receive money transfers without having to log in to online banking or your app. You can choose to register your email address with Interac e-Transfer to automatically deposit funds for you, making Interac e-Transfer an even simpler and faster way to receive your money.

Request Money

You can now send a money request through your app or online banking. It's a cool way to say "you owe me money" between friends. For businesses, it's an important tool to streamline payments.

INTERAC e-Transfer® is secure. Your personal information is secure, no account numbers or financial institution information is shared, and a security question of your choosing protects your funds from being received by the wrong person. All you need is your recipient’s email address or mobile phone number to send money in just a few quick and easy steps

How to send and receive an Interac e-Transfer® Expand/Collapse

  1. Log into Biggar & District Credit Union’s Online Banking and navigate to the “Transfers” screen

  2. Set up your sender profile and add your recipient – make sure to create a Security Question and answer for the recipient (the recipient must know the answer)

  3. Choose how to notify your recipient, the amount you wish to send and which account the funds will be transferred from. You can also choose to send a special message or memo to your recipient

  4. Send! The funds are debited from your account immediately

Your recipient will receive notification that you have sent them an Interac e-Transfer®, and will follow the links provided in the email or text message to deposit their funds


Once they have answered the security question correctly, they can deposit the funds immediately – no holds, no hassle!

Auto Deposit Expand/Collapse

You can now securely receive money transfers without having to log in to online banking or your app. You can choose to register your email address with Interac e-Transfer to automatically deposit funds for you, making Interac e-Transfer an even simpler and faster way to receive your money.

How can I do this?
You can find the Autodeposit link to register on the following pages in online banking:

  • Send e-Transfer,
  • Edit Profile, or
  • Request Money


You can also find it under Settings > Interac e-Transfer > Autodeposit with our mobile app.

Once you're set up and receive an Interac e-Transfer, it will be automatically deposited to the bank account associated with that email address.

Request Money Expand/Collapse

You can now send a money request through your app or online banking. It's a cool way to say "you owe me money" between friends. For businesses, it's an important tool to streamline payments.

When your contact completes the transfer, the funds will be automatically deposited into your account. You won't have to log in again to accept their transfer.

How can I do this?
You can find the Request Money option under Transfers in online banking OR under Interac e-Transfers on our mobile app.

How to Cancel an Interac e-Transfer® Expand/Collapse

It is possible to cancel an Interac e-Transfer®, while it is pending. The e-Transfer will show as pending until the recipient accepts it.

To cancel a pending Interac e-Transfer®:

  • Log into Online Banking

  • Navigate to Transfers

  • Select Send Interac e-Transfer® from the menu

  • Choose View/Resend/Cancel Pending Transfers

  • Follow the steps to cancel the Pending Transfer
*Note: click "Complete" to finalize the cancellation

Per Transaction $2,000
Per Week (7 days) $8,000
Per Month (30 days) $15,000

Fee: a non-refundable fee of $1.50 will be charged for sending an INTERAC e-Transfer®

INTERAC e-Transfers® are free with our Student Choice® and Tier 3 Personal Account Packages as well as Tier 2 Senior Accunts

Per Week (7 days) $15,000
Per Month (30 days) $30,000

There is no fee for receiving an INTERAC e-Transfer®
