ATM Cash Withdrawal Limit Change
September 2011
In our ongoing efforts to protect our members, and minimize losses from card fraud, we have lowered debit card cash withdrawal limits. Effective September 1, 2011, the limit for an ATM cash withdrawal using your Member Card is $525 per day.
Please call us or stop in if you have any questions or concerns regarding this.
Heads Up for Healthier Brains

Biggar & District Credit Union is sponsoring "Heads Up for Healthier Brains", a presentation by the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan. Presenter Alice Germann will teach you how to keep your mind sharp as you age. She will also provide information to help you develop a personal mental fitness program that fits your lifestyle and gives you the tools to achieve your goals easily, and at your own pace.
Everyone is welcome to attend this presentation on Wednesday, September 7 at the New Horizons Seniors' Centre at 10:00 am. Silver collection at the door.

Biggar's 100th Birthday

Biggar is celebrating "100 years of growing"' on July 1, 2, and 3, and we are proud to be a sponsor! There's tons of activities for the whole family -- be sure to take in the parade on Saturday, July 2! We also invite you to visit the Childrens' Petting Zoo on Main Street.

Credential Office has moved up!

With the completion of the building expansion, Kevin Kurulak, our Credential Financial Strategies representative, has moved up from the basement. He is now located on the main floor of the Biggar Insurance Services office and is ready to do business with old and new clients. Grade 12 Student Trade Fair

Grade 12 students from Biggar and Perdue, along with their parents and teachers, are invited to attend our Annual Student Trade Fair.
Students will learn about:

- Insurance needs in and out of province
- careers in the credit union system

- debit cards, credit cards, ATM locations

The Annual General Meeting takes place at the Biggar Community Hall on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Supper starts at 6:00 pm, the meeting will follow. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Biggar or Perdue Branch. Advance Tickets Only - please purchase by March 21.

Wednesday, February 29 is the deadline to contribute to your 2011 RRSP. Call 948-3352 to make an appointment with one of our wealth management experts. If you don't have the cash on hand, you may want to consider an RRSP loan at a special rate. It's never too late or too early to plan for retirement!
Building Expansion Complete

The building expansion has finally reached completion! Biggar Insurance Services celebrated their Grand Opening on Saturday, June 5.
The addition/expansion of our credit union offices is also done and 3 of the new offices are occupied.
Kevin Kurulak, our Credential Financial Strategies representative, has moved into an office in Biggar Insurance Services. Kevin can help with all your life insurance and investment needs.

Student Trade Fair

The Annual Grade 12 Student Trade Fair took place at the Westwinds Centennial Room on May 26. The students learned about:
- student loans and car loans
- building good credit
- insurance needs in and out of the province while attending school
- careers in the credit union system
- internet and mobile banking
- budgeting and investing
- debit cards and credit cards
- fraud prevention
The students, along with their parents, enjoyed pizza and drinks. The lucky winner of the laptop was Kim Morton, from Ruthilda. Congratulations Kim!
Spring Community Cleanup

A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Biggar Community Clean-up on May 10: the students and staff of BCS 2000 and St. Gabriel schools, community volunteers and Biggar businesses: Prairie Malt, E-Kay Enterprises, Super A Foods, Town of Biggar, Busse Law Office, The Independent, and Biggar Insurance Services. Thanks also to the credit union staff and directors -- they cleaned, cooked and served the hungry workers!
