Spring Community Cleanup 2014:

Our 6th annual cleanup was held on May 13th.  We had amazing support from the local schools, community volunteers and local businesses. Directors and staff members of the Credit Union and staff of  Biggar & Landis Insurance Services pitched in. We served hotdogs to over 400 hungry volunteers, and had fun making a difference in our community!

Share the Warmth was a great success again this year. We worked with the Biggar & District Family centre, inviting  Biggar and Perdue area residents to drop off warm weather wear. Several large loads of sweaters, coats, hats, etc., were delivered to the family centre for distribution to the community.   Donor’s names were entered in a draw for $75 grocery gift certificates. Here are the lucky winners:

In other “green” news…

At work and at home, we continue to challenge ourselves to find ways to be friendlier to the enviroment.  By practicing the 3 Rs — reduce, reuse and recycle — we can all make a difference!
