Share the Warmth Campaign - Oct-Nov 2009

The ‘Going Green’ committee held 1st Annual Share the Warmth campaign and it was a huge success!

Georgina Heather, representing Biggar Family Centre, along with Murray Sunderland, 'Going Green' committee member, gathered up 2 truckloads of warm winter clothing to take to the Family Centre.  Thank you to all who donated to keep our community warm!.

The Family Centre now has a drop-off box for after-hour donations.  The address is 102 6th Avenue East (the old Nova Wood School) East Door.

In other “green” news…

At work and at home, we continue to challenge ourselves to find ways to be friendlier to the enviroment.  By practicing the 3 Rs -- reduce, reuse and recycle -- we can all make a difference!
